Located in Surabaya Indonesia, Mulia Perkasa has been producing high quality teak garden furniture for more than 20 years.
We use only the finest teak, carefully selected from well managed and Government owned Teak Plantations, where sustainability is paramount.
Mulia strives to offer current, well-built and thoughtfully designed products either through our own collections or as an accomplished OEM supplier. Our goal is to meet and exceed our customer’s demand for high quality products and services.
Our products are proudly displayed each year during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago. We look forward to see you there.
Mulia Perkasa has more than 20 years of manufacturing expertise. It was founded by Mr. Hendro Gumulia, who has enjoyed a lifelong dedication to the furniture industry. His passion has guided the company from a rattan and wooden component factory to become a dynamic international indoor and outdoor furniture manufacturing company.
In 2002 our production facility had reached a position that allowed us to expand into the US indoor furniture market as well. Utilizing the latest production techniques and finishing capabilities.
In the following years, our quality & design values where so well received in the market place that our export neared the 100 container mark of annual production for the first time.
In the past 10 years, we have continued to expand our knowledge in raw material offerings to include; Stainless Steel, Aluminum & Synthetic weave to complement our strong teak-wood heritage. These combinations allow for some rich and current ‘mixed-material’ products.
In 2008 the 2nd generation of the Gumulia family was introduced into the business. Well educated in modern business practices and ready to carry the strong ethics forward, we are now witnessing upgrading and stream-lining all aspects of our organization. Implementation of these practices will ensure our valued customers as well as our over 100 employees, will benefit for years to come.

Our Sawmill & Manufacturing facilities cover a combined area of 15,000m2. We pride ourselves in a highly experienced, knowledgeable and professional work-force, ensuring a quality product from “design to delivery”
We select and purchase our teak logs directly from (PT. Perhutani) the Indonesian Governments forest company, where our highly trained log graders select only the best teak available.
The logs are then transported to our in-house saw mill for processing before entering one of our four on-site Kiln-drying chambers, where the raw cut wood spends 4-6 weeks depending upon it’s size. Wood moisture content is constantly monitored, and kiln temperatures are adjusted accordingly, to reach the most stable raw material possible.
When the wood has reached its optimum MC it is then further graded to determine which type of component it will be suitable for. We strive to utilize the most uniform colored wood for table tops and other highly visible surfaces.
Our factory is fully equipped with specialized tooling to handle all aspects of manufacturing our products, including an in-house metal shop for handling stainless steel & aluminum.
Only carefully selected timber is being used to bring out the best natural color and smoothness on our teak products.
Antique : Grey
Old is the new modern. We purposely stain our wood to hasten the look of teak products that has been exposed under the sun for a long time.
Antique : Brown
We specially create this finishing color for people who enjoy the classic atmosphere of reclaimed wood.
We choose the Batyline by Serge Ferrari not only because of it’s durability, but also for the sleek and professional look.
The combination of textures from woven products and solidity of our teak creates extraordinary and unlimited design opportunities.
Elegance comes naturally with our marine-grade stainless steel.
